Go to the home screen and tap "Book Mechanic Now". Enter your address and vehicle details, select the part that needs to be replaced, and confirm your booking. A certified mechanic near you will be matched in real time and will come to your location with the replacement part.
Yes. Go to My Bookings, select the booking you want to change, and tap "Reschedule" or "Cancel". Cancellations made more than 2 hours before the appointment are free of charge.
You can track your mechanic in real time once a booking is confirmed. If there is a delay or no-show, contact us via Live Chat or call our support line and we will resolve it immediately — including rebooking at no extra cost.
Our mechanics come directly to your preferred location — your home, office, parking lot, or any safe accessible spot. You set the address at the time of booking and we bring everything to you.
You can book same-day if a mechanic is available in your area, or schedule up to 30 days in advance. We recommend booking at least 24 hours ahead to ensure a confirmed mechanic is assigned.
Payment is processed securely through the app after the service is completed. We accept all major credit and debit cards. A detailed receipt is sent to your email automatically.
Refunds are available for cancelled bookings within our policy window. If you are unhappy with a completed replacement, contact support within 48 hours and we will review your case under our warranty policy.
No hidden fees. The price you see at checkout includes parts and labor. There are no separate call-out charges or diagnostic fees — what you confirm is what you pay.
Go to Profile › My Vehicles and tap "Add Vehicle". Enter your make, model, year, and any relevant details. You can save multiple vehicles for quick booking any time.
Yes. During the booking flow you can select any vehicle saved to your profile, or add a new one on the spot. Each booking is tied to a specific vehicle so the mechanic arrives prepared with the right replacement part.
We service most standard petrol and diesel passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. During booking, our system will confirm compatibility for your specific make, model, and year before you proceed.
All data is encrypted and stored securely. We never share your personal information with third parties without your explicit consent. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password" and enter your registered email. You will receive a reset link within a few minutes. If you do not see it, check your spam folder.
We only replace parts — we do not repair or patch them. If a component is damaged, worn out, or no longer working, our certified mechanic will remove it and install a quality replacement part at your location.
Every replacement job is covered by our 1-year / 12,000-mile warranty on both parts and labor. If the replaced component fails within this period, we will fix it at no extra cost.
We cover a wide range including engine components, transmission and drivetrain parts, suspension and steering, brakes, electrical and starting systems, cooling, fuel systems, exhaust, AC and heating, and general maintenance parts. Browse our full list on the Services page.
You can describe your vehicle's symptoms during booking and our system will suggest the relevant replacement services. If you are unsure, you can also contact our support team before booking and we will guide you.
Click "Register as Mechanic" on the homepage and complete your professional profile with your certifications, specializations, and service area. Our team will verify your credentials within 24–48 hours. Once approved, you will start receiving job requests from vehicle owners in your area.
You will need a valid government-issued ID, proof of relevant automotive certifications, and any applicable trade licenses. If you specialize in certain systems (e.g. electrical, transmission), upload those certifications too — they help you receive more specialized and higher-value jobs.
Registration is free. FitMyParts charges a small service fee on each completed job, which is deducted automatically before payout. There are no monthly subscriptions or upfront costs to get started.
In your mechanic dashboard, go to Settings › Service Area and set your radius. You will only receive job requests from customers within that range. You can update your service area anytime as your availability changes.
When a customer near you books a replacement that matches your skills, you receive a push notification with the job details — including the vehicle, part, location, and time. You can accept or decline each request from your dashboard.
Yes. Go to your dashboard and set your availability for each day of the week. You will only receive job requests during the hours you mark as available. You can also block specific dates for time off.
You can cancel an accepted job from your dashboard, but we encourage giving as much notice as possible. Repeated late cancellations may affect your reliability score, which impacts how often you are matched with new jobs.
Yes. As a mobile mechanic on FitMyParts, you are expected to arrive fully equipped with the tools needed for the replacement job. The replacement part itself is coordinated through the platform and delivered to you or the customer's location.
Once you accept a job and mark yourself as en route, the customer can track your location in real time. Make sure location services are enabled on your device so the tracking remains accurate throughout the trip.
Payments are released to your registered bank account after each completed job is confirmed by the customer. Payouts are processed within 2–3 business days. You can view your full earnings history and pending payouts from your mechanic dashboard.
Your pay is based on the job type and complexity. Each listing shows the mechanic payout amount before you accept. FitMyParts deducts a small platform service fee — everything else goes directly to you.
Yes. Your mechanic dashboard has a dedicated Earnings section where you can filter by date range, view individual job payouts, track pending payments, and download statements for your records or tax purposes.
Customers have the option to add a tip after a completed job. Tips are paid out in full to you — FitMyParts does not take any cut from tips. They appear as a separate line item in your earnings dashboard.
Go to your mechanic dashboard and select Profile › Edit. You can update your photo, bio, specializations, certifications, and contact details. Updated certifications may require re-verification by our team, which usually takes 24 hours.
After every completed job, the customer rates their experience from 1 to 5 stars. Your overall rating is displayed on your profile and directly affects how often you are matched with new job requests. Consistently high ratings unlock priority matching.
If a customer raises a complaint or dispute about your work, our support team will contact you to get your side. You can also upload photos and notes from the job as evidence. We review all disputes fairly and aim to resolve them within 48 hours.
Yes. In your dashboard settings, you can toggle your account to "Inactive" mode. You will not receive any job requests while inactive, but your profile, ratings, and history remain intact. Reactivate anytime you are ready to take jobs again.
All mechanics on our platform must follow our replacement-only service model — we do not repair or patch parts. You are expected to use the quality replacement parts provided, follow safe work practices, and leave the customer's location clean after every job.
Yes. After completing a replacement, you are required to upload before-and-after photos through the app. This protects both you and the customer, and is part of our quality assurance and warranty documentation process.
If a part you replaced fails within the 1-year / 12,000-mile warranty period, FitMyParts will coordinate a follow-up job. You may be reassigned the warranty job, and the replacement part will be provided at no cost. Your rating is not affected by warranty claims unless negligence is found.
Yes. In your profile, you can select your specializations — for example, engine jobs, electrical systems, or brake replacements. You will be prioritized for job requests that match your listed specializations, leading to better-matched and higher-quality jobs.
